Hey! My name is Liz Aponte, but I often go by DJThunderstix. I help female drummers who are feeling frustrated with their progress reach the next level and absolutely crush it in a male-dominated music world. In my 15 years of drumming, I’ve played over 300 shows, recorded in multiple studios, been featured in commercials and played Warped Tour.
Through it all, I know exactly what it’s like to hit roadblocks and not be taken seriously. I’m here to help you smash past those barriers and encourage you every step of the way.
I teach drum lessons out of my home studio in Salt Lake City and virtually through Skype.
Not a female but still interested in lessons? I’ll gladly teach you/take your money :)
In addition to teaching drums, I also am available for studio and touring sessions for most any musical style. I also make customs drums through my company Respira Collective.

DRUM LESSONS
Whether it's playing in a band, learning a specific song or working on technique, I'll create a custom roadmap to help each student learn and grow with each lesson. Lessons will be informative, helpful and most importantly - FUN!
With over 10 years of teaching experience, I've developed an interactive and educational curriculum aimed at aiding students in recognizing and achieving their musical goals.
